Isopod Starter Kit 5 gallon Jungle Bob

The Jungle Bob Isopod starter kit is a great way to keep your growing colony comfortable and well fed. This kit provides you with a bottom, middle, and top layer, and lots of ground cover that seconds as food once the decaying process starts.

This kit contains:

• Bottom Layer: Pack down at the bottom of your enclosure to provide a condensed moist bottom that emanates a consistent and even production of humidity. Add distilled or spring water to the edges as needed.
• CaO Middle Layer: The CaO layer has ample calcium oxide for isopods. This layer is rich in important active microbial populations, nutrition, and minerals. This substrate is fully edible for terrestrial isopods.
• Top Layer: This layer contains aged oak bark and dried oak leaves. Create a 2-3" layer on top of your middle layer.
• Cuttlebone: Calcium and Mineral source
• Sphagnum Moss: Humidity
• Paper Bark: Ground Cover and Isopod food
• Magnolia Pod: Hiding Place, Ground Cover
• Rotting Wood: Hiding place, Isopod food
