Alligator Snapping Turtle

The alligator snapping turtle belongs to the Chelydridae family. They are the largest fresh water turtle in North America! This species is different than the "Common Snapping Turtle." When it comes to feeding they are carnivorous and opportunistic. In captivity, they are fed a variety of rodents, insects, turtle pellets, and vegetation.
