They're low-maintenance eaters, typically feeding on frozen-thawed mice or rats every 7–10 days, though they're known for being "picky eaters" at times. With proper care, these beauties can live at least15–20 years, sometimes much longer, making them a long-term commitment worth every moment. They're naturally curious, relatively inactive, and perfectly content in a 40-gallon breeder tank at minimum. Larger enclosures are always better and snake racks are not a good long term habitat for any animal. Provide substrate for burrowing and to retain humidity (we recommend Cypress Mulch), fresh water daily, and minimal handling stress, and your Ball Python will reward you with calm, predictable behavior.
