Bio Active

At Jungle Bob's, we have been keeping animals in enclosures with live plants and running water for decades. We have been on the forefront of many of the terrarium trends and happily display rainforest, temperate and desert terrariums, aquariums, vivariums and paludariums in our shops.  BIOACTIVE is a word that has thrust itself to the forefront in recent years with many new enthusiasts trumpeting the virtues of having a BIOACTIVE terrarium.

In a small enclosure, where animals eat and defecate, where plants rooted in layered substrate grow and shed leaves, with water introduced to the soil,  soil that contains a "cleaner crew" of springtails, isopods and microorganisms, which break down the waste, the reaction between all is truly  BIOACTIVE.
